Do You Think Dogs Can Sense Pregnancy?

Hi ladies. I just found out last week that I’m almost 7 weeks pregnant. I knew my dog had been acting extra clingy lately but I didn’t think anything of it. Now that i know I’m pregnant, he never lets me out of his sight. He won’t let me go to the bathroom at night without following me 😂 it’s so weird. I swear he knows I’m pregnant so he’s acting more protective. Am i crazy or do you all think animals can sense pregnancy? Lol

When I was pregnant with my daughter my dog was super mean to me . I couldn’t near him without him trying to bite me or growl at me . People say was because I was pregnant with a girl & he’s a boy . I am currently now 14 weeks pregnant with my second baby & he’s definitely different this time . He’s more loving

I have three dogs and they are all clueless. I wish the puppy would figure it out so she will stop jumping on me 🤣

O yes. My fiancè dog was super protective of me when i was pregnant. He would let anyone near me. He would growl at people until I told them it was ok. After we had our son the dog would sleep next the crib in our room. After we put our son in his room dog would sleep at his door

I have spent almost $1k in vet bills this month to have every test imaginable, because my poor beagle has been throwing up daily. This is in addition to being more whinning and clingy with me. (Whinining outside the bathroom door whenever I go in for example.)  Everything is checking out medically okay (thankfully.) The vet was able to get the vomiting under control with a combination of prescription meds, special food, and OTC Pepsid. Now that we have ruled out all of the most likely causes, it has pretty much been chalked up to a case of "sympathy morning sickness." 🙄

my dog knew before I did, he used to hug me every single day I got home from work, than suddenly stop jumping on me. yes dogs sense it weither they show it or not!:) they sense everything

When I got pregnant with my daughter my pit bull was so protective. We also had a cat and she got super jealous and ran away!

You just give off a different smell so they’ll tend to be more protective. They don’t really know it’s a baby inside you

My cats definitely could tell before I knew. They got super clingy and affectionate. One of my kitties is extremely shy and wont have anything to do with my husband but will love on me 24/7.
