So I’m 17 and my parents are divorced. 3 weeks ago my mom took me to get my helix pierced and I kind of just told my dad I was going to get it done. It’s on my ear and its my body so in my mind it wasn’t a big deal and he didn’t seem to mind much either. However I have become obsessed with nose piercings and have finally decided I want one after years of feeling off and on about it. Only issue is I have to ask my dad for my mom to take me. He’s very anti piercing and tattoo but he’s okay with piercings on the ear, I don’t know it’s weird haha. I feel like he would say yes, but then again I know he probably wouldn’t be happy and may say no. I don’t know how to bring up the topic because I’m just nervous. He’s also always working and when he’s not we’re around the rest of the family, my step sister and step mom, so would it be easier to text him? I know that’s a shitty way to approach it but I also want it to be just between us, but when he’s working everyday on cars and trucks or at the fire department I don’t want to like ask him on his “lunch break” when he comes home for a few to eat his lunch and I don’t want to do it when we’re around everyone. What would you do?
