Celexa cause miscarriage?

Has anyone been told by a doc that taking celexa while pregnant could cause a miscarriage?

I have to add... If you really need your meds and just stop taking them, the harm it does to your mental health would far outweigh any risks from the meds. And if you are not in good mental health it will affect your baby and/or pregnancy! Anyway, good luck to you. 😊

I was told to stop taking any kind of anxiety or depression meds while trying to conceive due to potential loss or harm to the baby

Im on celexa and had a mc at 7 wks i dont know if its related but my doctor said celexa is considered safe :/

Not true. There are 0 studies that link miscarriages to anti-depressants or anxiety meds. There could be a couple higher risk ones... Risk of some birth defects but very low risks. Not sure about celexa but I've taken Wellbutrin throughout both of my pregnancies. As well as other meds that were needed. Most docs will tell you the that most meds they suggest not taking is only because they "just don't Know".  I honestly don't think it had anything to do with your misscarriage, especially if you have been on it for a while.
