Labor alone?

Question

My husband is in the military and we live in a different state then my family he is getting deployed and will be gone until after I have the baby what should I do if I go into labor alone?

I laboured alone until 9cm while my husband was at work. I actually really enjoyed it. I called my midwife when I thought something was happening and she walked me through the next steps (pretty much waiting until the contractions were 5 min apart). I watched Netflix until it was time to go to the hospital.

If u have no one to drive u can always call a cab or the ambulance

I laboured at home mostly alone. My hubby was around off and on. He went to the gym or was in the other room watching tv. It wasn’t bad really. He was there to get me to the hospital and the birth. I was kind of in my own world dealing with the pain anyways.

My dad was in the military so my mom had to go through this a few times. If you have other kids try to find a friend or someone you can call to watch your kids, even if you don’t have kids I would really try to have someone that can be there with you in case you need anything or to drive you .
