Crib training

So i have a 10 month old, who recently just stop nursing at 9 month and a week. Since I’ve stopped nursing her two weeks into her getting the groove of the bottle and formula i started to crib train her ( i waited so she won’t get overwhelmed) soon after a few days she’ll go in the crib crying I’ll do 10 minute intervals rub her tummy tell it’s okay but it’s time to go to bed until she fell asleep. She eventually started going down without a problem but still wake up like 4 times a night. So i would calm her feed her when she chose to eat rock her and so on. Now two to three weeks into crib training she goes down with no problem and recently for the past 4 days she’ll sleep throughout the night. However tonight she decided to give me a run for my money! She woke up at 3 am i went in there picked her up offered her milk she didn’t want continued to Rock with her in our rocker she fell back to sleep ... no problem but as soon as i put her back inside her crib all hell

Broke loose. So i put her in then closed the door.

she cried for 19 minutes then fell asleep. This killed me i hate the cry it out method. I feel so terribly guilty but it seems like nothing else works for her.
