Going to a wedding 2 weeks postpartum?

My husband and I got an invite for the wedding of a fairly good friend. The wedding is only about 45 minutes from home, but it’s 2 weeks after my due date. Should I sit this one out, or is it okay to leave my baby with my mom for a few hours when he’s still so young?

I personally would sit it out, but that’s just me! The first few weeks of postpartum can be pretty trying, but everyone is different in their recovery :)

Don't go. If you are nursing or exclusively pumping, baby will still need to be fed every 1.5 to 2 hours at that point. Two weeks is not enough time tk establish a supply, much less build up a stash of milk. And who is to say you won't go late with the delivery? Trust me, at 2 weeks postpartum, you won't want to have to try to find something thag fits comfortably with your still changing and adjusting postpartum body, much less try to deal with people and a wedding while you are still going through that heavy postpartum bleeding  (which is extra potent in stench thanks to all the hormones).

Sit it out. Baby night come late, you might have a c section. You will be sleep deprived. Do not feel bad. They will understand.

I wouldn't just because I was still bleeding heavily and wearing thick pads at 2 weeks pp. Definitely doesnt make you feel beautiful at a wedding where everyone would be all dressed up. Just my thoughta though 🤷

2 weeks after your due date, but you may give birth a few days to a week after your due date, so you could end up only being a week postpartum. I personally wouldn’t go, but you can see how you’re feeling 😊

I have a friends wedding that my husband is in and my sisters baby shower on the same day and that’s a week after my c section. I’ll be going to both, I hate missing family events tho lol

I have a wedding two weeks after and as long as baby comes at least the two weeks before I plan to go🤷‍♀️ I’m sure my husband and I will need a night out by that point. Nothing wrong with stepping out for a few hours

I was invited to a good friends baby shower and it happens to be on September 12th. 2 weeks after my due date as well but I plan to go.. I haven’t figured out my plans on whether my mom will keep the baby or I will bring her with me but if I bring her nobody will be able to hold or touch her bc I don’t want any germs lol

I am going to a wedding two weeks after my due date, and am bringing my baby. Now, I am a spaz and will be shooing people out of his face and won’t let anyone hold him. W my daughter, I felt fine physically after two weeks and you can still wear a maternity dress or something black.  I wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving my baby but if you do, I think thatsfine. And if you don’t feel up to it that day, I am sure your friends would understand you bowing out. For my wedding, two of our friends came twoish weeks after they had their baby and I was so shocked but pleased. She wore jeans to the reception actually, but who cares! I was just happy to see them!! Whatever makes you comfortable
