Doctors office being shady?

So my OB's office told me that starting at 36 weeks they seen their patients every week so I scheduled all of my appointments out with them until my due date. Starting at 28 weeks we have to start going every other week, so that's what I have been doing.

Yesterday at my 32 week appointment my OB said I was measuring 34 weeks. I asked if that was a concern and she said "no totally normal and you've been measuring on time up until now so it might just be a growth spurt and you'll be back to normal next measurement- this doesn't effect your due date".

However then they called me today and told me I need to come back next week. I expressed confusion since I don't have to go weekly until mid August and the nurse was like "no, the dr decided you need to go weekly starting this week". So I was like "is there something concerning?" And she was like "no its just our office policy".

Now I'm confused and feel like they're withholding something from me. Or am I just being hormonal?
