Aging placenta?

Anyone been told they have to be monitored using non stress tests (weekly) and another ultrasound done around 35 weeks because of an "aging" placenta?

Not personally, but I am a Birth Doula and had a client who had this. She delivered at 39 weeks by induction.

How did you know it was aging?  I  nervous about this as well because I have gestational diabetes and had choleostasis with my last pregnancy which is also known to age the placenta....did you find out at an ultrasound or how did you know?

Yes due to gestational diabetes. Its not so bad. I was going twice a week to NSTs for my daughter and got a growth scan and check on her at 37 weeks. Ended up having her at 38.3 water broke 38.2. They're going to do the same for this pregnancy for the same reasons.
