Running mamas- Too much??
I'm 22 weeks- Yesterday I did 30 minutes on the treadmill (5 x 6 minute rounds with 1-2 minutes of walking and the rest gradually building up from a 12 minute to 10 minute mile pace, averaged 11:32 pace and 2.6 miles total). I felt really good during but after I felt like I pulled my groin on the left side, and I am sure I am just being crazy but I feel like I have barely been feeling baby move since. I haven't been super consistent with exercise, but I walk regularly, take spin when I can (last class was 2 weeks ago) and I was running 2-3 miles at a 10.5 min pace weekly a month ago. Did I overdo it? Is it dangerous to take longer ish (couple weeks) breaks between running when prego and then starting up again? Pre pregnancy I was running 3-4 miles at an 8.5-9 minute pace regularly. I am going to talk to the dr about it next time i go by just thought I'd see if anyone had any thoughts before then haha
