I’ve received the transabdominal cerclage Tuesday due to previous failed transvaginal cerclage resulting in premature labor and loss of my babies. So I’m currently 13&2 and the surgery wasn’t what i expected i was suppose to received a spinal tap but my scoliosis made it impossible so i received the epidural which was only numbing my right side. It took a while to fully numb me then they started the procedure which is like a csection incision to get to the top of the uterus to stitch the top of the cervix so i didn’t feel anything except pressure until they finally had me cut wide open and i started feeling everything they put me to sleep at that point. I was in recovery room waking up to myself having a full blown anxiety attack which was terrible. They got me to calm down and told me i lost a lot of blood and had given me some and everything was back normal. So I’m now recovering from the surgery and just need advice from ppl who had the surgery or csection and how to heal from it because I’m constipated and can’t sleep on my side which I’m normally use to plus I’m still pregnant so i still have to hurry to the bathroom every 30 mins i can’t laugh cough sneeze or take a deep breath without feeling like ima explode I’m in so much pain the doc keep telling me it’s normal due to that surgery only thing helps is my heating pad but i need other things that will help soothe me or speed the process up a little
