Should I test again?
So I found out that I was taking my birthcontrol pills incorrectly (I wasn't supposed to skip a week for my period. This was supposed to eliminate periods altogether.) So I decided to test last week. I took one midday got a faint (like super faint) pink line on a First Response Tesg within the time allotted. It appeared within 3 minutes.
I had one more left so 3 days later I tested first thing in the morning and got a negative. I keep track of periods really well. My last period (about 4 weeks ago) was only two days and only required pantiliners which I assumed was due to my birth control. If it was implantation bleeding then I could be about 8-9 weeks pregnant. I researched (from credible medical journals) about the variant hook effect. Your hcg can change therefore changing a pregnancy test result. However, I am aware this is not common and probably less likely.
I haven't had any major symptoms other than food aversions (which I originally blamed my pill for) and sore boobs in the morning especially. I am still taking my pill until I finish this pack.
I have taken a test before and never got a evaporation line. Is it worth testing again? Has anyone experience the variant hook affect?
