am i being over dramatic? (giving baby food at 3 months)

my mother thinks i’m just being an over-protective ftm and insists that it’s fine she give my 3 month old food. she’s also given him alcohol before (don’t even get me started) and carries him like he’s an inanimate object.

but anyways, she let him nibble on a strawberry ice pop (that she’d already been eating! yeah, put YOUR spit in my baby’s mouth. ugh. nasty) and literally not even 2 minutes later he’s crying out of nowhere and his stomach is turning (i can hear it)

am i being over dramatic?! i literally said he shouldn’t have food, even though it was just a little, at 3 months. she insisted that it was just a little, it’ll be fine. whatever...

but this is AFTER the alcohol incident which i was obviously upset about but “they used to do it all the time”

and when i comment on how shes carrying him “she’s raised two and they turned out fine”

and now i have a screaming upset baby and i just feel like it’s a sign, i can’t take it anymore and feel like i need to be more assertive. she may have had children as well but i still know what’s best for my baby, because he’s MY baby.

am i being dramatic?? and as for his tummy, could it just be a coincidence. i hope it didn’t upset it too bad.
