Strollers/car seats !! New mom to be n I need recommendations

Any recommendations on what to get? I was considering a travel set babies r us has but I feel like the stroller might be to big for my car(Camry)... So I don't know if it's worth getting the set.. I don't know if maybe I should just get a good car seat and a regular stroller?? I don't want to spend a lot of money if it's not necessary either .. I feel that since I am new to this I might be spending on extra stuff the baby will not even need or make much use of.. Please help!!  I'd love to hear from the ones that have been through this before... I spent like 3 hours at babies r us last night n didn't know what stroller or cat seat to choose !! 😁😁😁😥😥😥😥😥
