How does breastfeeding make you lose weight? Please explain

Your body requires extra calories to produce milk so if you do not eat those extra calories you will be a deficit and loose weight. Not everyone loses weight breastfeeding but many people do.

It unfortunately doesn’t work that way with everyone. I was one of the unlucky ones. I couldn’t lose any weight until I stopped breastfeeding.
