Don’t skip or be tardy too much, definitely take your classes/homework/tests seriously, please don’t procrastinate!! Go to as many school events as you can, trust me some of them are fun. Join as many clubs as you want or like, they are kinda fun too & it’s a great way to make some new friends! There’s a lot of drama people like to start, don’t ever hang out with those people because then they’ll start drama with you. Be careful who you choose to be friends with, sometimes not everyone is as nice as you think they are :// respect your teachers, even if they’re being complete assholes (unless it’s complete bs then talk to the principle bc some teachers like to think they’re in charge of the school & students). Try to make as many memories as you can with your friends, cherish those moments & take so many pictures!!!

some sophmores might poke fun at you because youre a “freshie” but just ignore them, they are just glad they cant get called that anymore. try to get involved in things you normally wouldnt, like a sport or club

You’ll literally be fine. Its like middle school but possibly with more classes and maybe a little more homework but you’re fine. Don’t mess up your freshman year, you’ll hear that a lot because it’s very important if you wanna graduate on time and if you don’t wanna have to take extra classes to complete your credits.

Don’t be afraid to say goodbye to toxic “friends” and people. Join a club, you’ll meet new people and upperclassmen who you could ask about your classes and teachers. Do your HW and study guides colleges are looking! Don’t feel like you need a boyfriend (you don’t and they are a hassle) take it from an upperclassman lol. And be weary of STDs etc. high school is a cess pool of STDs and sickness. Also respect your teachers so they don’t dock your grades! Oh and don’t skip class (colleges aren’t gonna like that). i’m going to be a junior in highschool this year and as a high schooler who was a freshman recently i wanted to help! try not to get caught up in drama. i promise it’ll all blow over and be fine and if not then they weren’t meant to last. go to the football and basketball games! they’re fun. go to the dances and try to have fun. make new friends and step out of your comfort zone. don’t date the senior boys if they try to. at my school that cliche stuff happens lol. pay attention in class and take notes. don’t disrespect your teachers because they’re there to help you. ask them for help if you don’t understand! try to stay organized and keep a planner to stay on top of homework. don’t worry about failing a test or two or a few. it won’t kill your gpa and you’ll still graduate just fine. you only live once! it’s highschool and you only get four years of it before you’re out of the house and going to college or whatever you want to do. keep that in mind:) good luck!!
