My boyfriend has been wanting to anal for so long and has been asking loads and I’ve finally agreed to it last week for it to happen this weekend. As the days come by I’m getting more and more nervous about it as I don’t want anything to go wrong with it and I of course want to give him what he wants. First of all, relax. Being tense about it won’t help. Get some good lube and take your time. Invest in a small anal toy if you can, if not, your SO’s fingers just work as well (the Doc Johnson mood naughty 1 is my personal favorite and it comes in different sizes). 
Foreplay while getting you ready will work wonders and I honestly can’t recommend it enough. My SO will either go down on me or use a vibrator while using his fingers or a toy to get me ready. It’ll help distract you from his prep work down there and if he makes you orgasm while getting you ready, even better. I find my whole body is so relaxed and makes getting ready for anal easier. 
Once you’re ready to do the deed, make sure he slathers on the lube. Like, for real. Don’t be shy with the stuff. Get in a position you feel comfortable in (doggy or on my stomach for me is most comfortable but everyone is different and anal feels different in different positions for me so just experiment) and just take it slow. I won’t lie, the first time can feel a little uncomfortable but just make sure you and your SO are on the same page when it comes to your comfort. If he wants to just shove it in and take you to pound town then he ain’t ready for this. Go slow, don’t rush into it. Play just the tip if you have to for a bit and if you feel ready, tell him to go a little deeper and see how it feels. If you’re feeling good, ask him to go even deeper or faster and go from there. And don’t be afraid to ask him to stop and put more lube on if you’re feeling friction. Stop entirely if hurts and you don’t think you can continue.
