Ovulated late, change weeks pregnant?!

So I went to the doctor yesterday (5 weeks 5 days from last period) due to some cramping and a fever... the doctor could not see the sac yet so ordered blood work.

My HCG is 266 which they said is normal for a normal pregnancy BUT he could not see the baby which has me dreaming out!!!

I usually have irregular periods of 33-35 cycle and last month specifically I ovulated about 7-10 days later than the normal 14 days after my period ovulation. ( I was supposed to ovulate on the week of July 4, but I ovulated on July 16)

Do you think this has to do with not seeing the sac yet? As my egg would of only came out 2 weeks ago .
