Leaving newborn for a while

Would it be completely terrible to leave my newborn alone with her daddy for like 8 hours? She's 2 weeks old and the county fair is this weekend. I'd love to be able to go with my family and bring my older daughter to the demolition derby but I'm not sure if it would be terrible of me to leave my baby with her daddy? My husband said he's fine staying home with the baby as he couldn't go anyways since he has to be up early for work Sunday morning. I've been breastfeeding this baby and have basically felt like a dairy cow at this point but she does also take bottles and I've got over 100 ounces of breastmilk stocked up so far. I'd love to have a little break and be able to just have some time to give my oldest all of my attention.
