My kids are 8 & 4 years old. Every single day it’s a struggle with these two. I’ll ask nicely “okay kids it’s time to clean up. Can y’all pick up the toys please!” Nothing... so I repeat myself with a louder tone... still nothing. I again repeat myself a third time much louder and still nothing. The moment I’m screaming “pick up your fucking toys now and clean the damn living room!” They jump up and say “moms being crazy, better do what she says. 🤦🏻‍♀️

What gives?! Seriously I shouldn’t have to speak to my kids like this for them to listen to me. What else can I do? I can’t depend on how I was raised because I got beat most of my life. I’m trying to be a better parent than mine was but I feel like I’m failing. ☹️
