With my first child -  a son - I was completely breathtaken, euphoric, anxious, in love.... So many emotions that coursed through me.
I remember looking at him in complete awe that I could create something so perfect. Counting his fingers and toes and it slowly dawning on me that this little person was a part of me forever.
I told him I would always do my very best for him, and that sometimes I might get it wrong - I'm sorry for when that happens - but we will do this life together.
He is now 24 years old and is still my wingman 😍❤️💜

I think people go thru so many emotions after delivery. Me being a ftm due in 4.5 weeks, I cant help but think what it's going to feel like...after delivery lol

I think you’re relieved they are there and ok. But at the same time it doesn’t feel real. Like it doesn’t feel like this is your new life as a mom.

I honestly didn’t feel anything besides shock. Like omg this is happening. I didn’t feel a connection to her for 24 hours after I delivered and then all of a sudden it just hit me and I couldn’t believe how much I loved this person. I didn’t know it was possible to love someone so much

I had different feelings for all 3 of mine I want the nurses to clean them off first.  See I'm kind of odd, I can clean up after everyone else when they get sick, changing diapers doesn't bother me, cleaning up after pets when they have an accident in the house... but my own bodily fluids bother me I dont know why they just alwayshave. So with my first daughter I was so nervous they cleaned her up but I was just so worried, would she be ok, would I do everything right but after that first night everything was wonderful.  My second daughter I was sick the whole time, she was always moving and didn't stop even when in labor,  the epidural stopped working so by the time she was born and cleaned off I was just so tired all I wanted to do was fall asleep with her in my arms.  My third daughter she came so fast I didn't have time to tell them what I wanted.  The nurses delivered her within seconds of me getting on the bed (I was at the hospital all of 15 min before she was born) and they put her on my chest right away.  All I could do was tell her I was sorry because I barely got to the hospital in time, because I couldn't bring myself to hold her (I was in shock, and slightly sick at all the fluid and uck that was previously inside me all over her).  I dont remember much after that (I think I blacked out), but when she was clean and checked I was in so much love.  I know I'm kind of odd not wanting to hold them right away but I love all my girls and wouldn't change anything that happened with any of them.

The first time i held my baby i felt overly excited and at the same time almost nervous because i waited a whole 42 weeks to see what i was growing inside and falling in love with. I remember starring at her perfect little features and i felt thrilled with every movement and sound she made. I also had this fierce feeling that i needed to protect her and till this day i still do and it will never go away, She's now 6 and when ever i look into her eyes i get this flashback of feelings i felt the first time i saw her.

When I finally met my princess Feb of last year she was breathtaking beautiful. I remember when they laid her on my chest I looked at her and I couldn’t help but cry happy tears of course mixed with other emotions scared, happy, anxious and relieved but mostly I was in awww that I made her and she’s the one that would kick me in the middle of the night she’s the one i loved since I seen her show up on the pregnancy test and holding her for the first time is a feeling and experience I’ll never forget 💜

I was in shock, I had him in a little less than 30 minutes of pushing and I’m a FTM. They told me 1-4 hours and I was like oh no.... I’m not doing this for that long 🤣 but my husband told me he was out and I was like what!? And then they put him on my chest and nothing else mattered♥️ I was actually losing a lot of blood where they took him from me and the dr had to come back in. But it’s the best first meeting you’ll ever have ♥️

I had a c-section so they brought her to my face with all the gunk that I didn’t like. She wasn’t all that cute either tbh 😂. I blacked out from the meds and the next morning was like a dream, like I’d forgotten I had a baby. So when they brought her back to me I begged them to not leave me alone with her. She was such a cutie though. I was afraid to care for this tiny human but I loved her so much already. I did, however, end up losing her in the sheets at one point (I told them not to leave her with me 😂). She’s almost 7 now and still the love of my life.
