Vitamin D Drops ?

How do you guys give your breastfed babies vitamin D drops? My son has choked and sputtered a few times when we give it to him (inside the cheek, towards the back of the throat), but tonight my husband gave it to him and he said he only did half of the dropper in the cheek but my son choked. It’s never happened like this before. He was coughing and sputtering and then stopped making any noise at all. I managed to get him to start coughing again, which lasted for quite awhile. (My husband is lucky that I was busy with the baby, otherwise I would’ve really ripped him a new one.) Anyway. We have a paci-dose by Frida Baby but the plunger thing broke and I’m not going to pay $15 for another. Thinking about sending the drops to my moms during the day and she can add it to a bottle when she’s feeding him? I just can’t handle any more of the choking. My heart can’t take it.
