Any school teachers??

We start school Wednesday. I’ll be 38.5 weeks and I know I’m getting induced around 39 due to GD. I’ve been up in my room working the past week and my feet are soooo swollen by the end of the day. Any other teachers starting soon? Are you beginning the year or no??

I’m a teacher! First day isn’t until August 22nd but I’m currently working summer school until the 9th. I’m due the 18th so if I’m late there’s a possibility that I will start the year at least with professional development. I can’t set up my room until after the 9th since it’s being used for summer school and it still needs to be cleaned.

🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️ this summer I was laid off, had to pack up my whole room, called back for a new position in the same school, had to move all my stuff and set up a new room. Thankfully my principal understood my situation and let me go into the building whenever I wanted this summer, which usually isn’t protocol. I think I went into my classroom to do setting up and organizational stuff for the last time today but might go in next week to do some sub preparations if I haven’t had the baby yet. I’ll be 40+3 on the first day of school and my dr induces at 40+3 so I won’t be starting the year. We have meetings next week that I will attend if I’m still pregnant but other than that I’m just trying to not worry about the year starting 😂 I was in lots of pain when I was in there today, I think baby girl dropped and I was walking around so slow like I had a bowling ball between my legs trying to get stuff done.

We have pd the last 2 weeks of august and start Sept. 3rd. I'm due August 24th so I dont plan on going in the beginning of the year at all. I'm not sure what's going to happen since my classrooms not set up but my principal knows I'm not coming back until November so I'm sure they'll figure it out. (I'm the art teacher so I'm not even sure if they're going to have a sub or art at all without me there).

I’m due August 21. We start school this Monday, August 5. I plan to work until he comes or my doctor tells me to stop. I’m not really looking forward to being on my feet all day so the sooner he comes the better!

I'm due 8/19, which is the first day of school. There are 3 PD days the week before that I might attend if I haven't had the baby yet. I'm hoping my principal says not to bother, though...

I’m an instructional aide and student teacher. I’m waiting to start back at work until after baby is born and I’ve had time to recover. Thankfully, this is my 3rd year at the same school, so they’re cool with my taking maternity leave at the beginning of the school year.

Teachers in my district return on the 19th and students start the 23rd. I am having a c section on the 7th, so no I am not starting out the school year. I do think, however, I will be spending some time in my classroom after baby is born to get things ready for my sub. Our building has been under construction all summer, so we haven’t been able to get into our rooms.

Teachers go back on Thursday and students come the next Tuesday! I am due the 18th. I have to work until she is born. My doctor said since it is my first she won't induce until 42 weeks. I can't imagine teaching for 2 weeks or more.
