Coming out Stories
I think my most memorable coming out moment was to my mom. We were in the car discussing my planned trip to visit my girlfriend in Washinging. At the time she only knew Danielle was my friend.
I remember feeling like my heart was in my throat as I told her the truth. She was skeptical, despite constantly telling me during my teenage years that it would be alright if I was a lesbian.
She asked me the question that I hated most "how do you know if you've never had sex with a girl?"
I simply asked how she knew she liked men before having sex. "Good point."
There were a few other people I told before my trip to see Danielle, but for the most part, everyone else found out on Facebook when I changed my status to in a relationship with Danielle and posted tons of photos of us.
