When does cycle start after miscarriage ?

I believe I am having a miscarriage or I guess a chemical pregnancy (loss before 5 wks) my period is 6 days late and I had 4 positive home tests , I had light cramps and pinkish discharge on Thursday, nothing Friday now today I had intense cramps and period like bleeding. My question IS ... do I could the first day of bleeding as the first day of my cycle now or will my actual period come later? Also, should I go to dr Monday just to confirm this is a loss ?
