Enough is Enough

Kelly

I live in MD and like most places in the summer time, it’s been very hot. Yesterday, I was helping out my dad’s restaurant by working at a festival serving food. I have been helping him my whole life. All of the sudden, I got very hot and nearly fainted. The nice gentlemen at the festival took me over to the paramedics who then put me in the AC. They took my blood sugar and blood pressure, all was good. They asked if I’d like to go to the hospital just to check on the baby. I said yes.

The baby is fine! Her heart rate was 154 bpm, I have not had any cramping, and I’ve been feeling her move. My blood tests came back and I was plenty hydrated, I had eaten plenty of food, but my electrolytes were low.

I guess I’m posting this, to wonder how do you know when enough is enough? I have been very lucky with my pregnancy. I have not been sick at all. It’s hard when you feel completely fine, to restrict yourself from doing what you are used to doing.
