Drinking at a party?

Last weekend one of my good friends had a wedding reception/ dance like party. there were about 120 people there give or take a little. There was a bartender serving a few different types of mixed drinks And bottled drinks. One of my friends at our table asked who wanted drinks, and then asked me if I wanted one of the mixed drinks that they were serving and I said yeah sure.

side note that I didn’t drive here, and carpooled with one of the friends at the table and their parent. so my friend brings back the drinks for everyone who said they wanted one and all is well.

About an hour or so later she asks again, and I say sure that’s fine, but she asks me to go with her to help carry them. So I go up there and she orders the drinks, someone at the table this time ordered a non mixed drink (bottled), so he asked for our ids, neither of us had one and the bartender said that’s fine, he wouldn’t give us the bottled drink and just the mixed drinks.

could the host of the party get in trouble for this or the bartender? Me and my friend are of age and presumably everyone else at our table as well. I just got confused because even though we couldn’t provide id, we were still given drinks just not bottled ones. is this something to worry about? The only “teen” that I saw there was 13, the rest of the children attending were under that age. all the other attendees were older adults ages 21-50.
