2 days late but bfn?

Question

Hi I'm on cycle day 31 when I have 28 day cycles at the most. I am 2 days late and 16 dpo. Tested first thing this morning and got a bfn. Has this happened to any one and still gotten a bfp? Some of my symptoms have been cravings for spicy foods, hot flashes, tingling nipples and yesterday at 1 day late I got a glob of snot like cm, which is unusual since before af I'm as dry as the sahara. I have also had tugging like cramps and gassyness.

I have 26 to 28 day cycles my period is between 2 to 3 days late , according to different apps . I had those signs with my son ! I’m not feeling anything expect being hormonal, sex drive is up , my boobs ache a little ! And my cervix is long and pointy and closed. All my tests keep coming back negative but I’m using old tests that came with an ovulation kit I haven’t tried a store bought one yet.   
With my son I had to be two weeks late to get a positive pregnancy test .
