MAMAS WHO USE GERBER LIL CRUNCHIES

My son had been eating these perfectly and loved them. Yesterday he began choking on one, and by choking I mean not gagging, not coughing, not making any noise. RED FACED AND CHOKING. I panicked and instantly did a swipe in the back of the mouth (That is what I was taught in my CPR and AED class to do so, I know some people say not to but that’s not the point of this post). Anyway, I was able to pull out the food and to my surprise there was a full lil crunchie in his throat. Obviously very shaken up and worried but he was crying and that was the only important thing.

Tonight I was reading a post about a similar scenario with a 10 month old who did the same thing. The parents said to check the back of the box for the small writing.

Here you will find that you must use these 5 DAYS AFTER OPENING... ours were open for a lot longer than that. I tried one and it DID NOT dissolve in my mouth as advertised, and had the consistency of styrofoam. No wonder my little man choked.

If you have these please throw them out, they are dangerous.
