Is it normal to not feel bonded with baby whilst pregnant?

Worried I won’t bond when she gets here as I feel almost nothing while I’m carrying. I’m so happy I’m able to have her but this pregnancy has just been full of scares and me in pain.

I still feel like there is an alien inside of me and can’t wrap my mind around the idea that this is MY baby I’m pregnant with! I haven’t felt a bond or connection this whole time but I’m not worried bc I know when baby (don’t know the gender) comes out it will all start to sink it. My husband and I planned this and I’ve wanted kids my whole life but still no bond while pregnant🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m 39+2

I think it’s normal if you love the baby SO much you’re just so scared of something bad happening so you’re trying to protect your heart and keep guarded a bit until baby is actually in your arms but it is NOT normal to have disinterest/lack of love/neglect of healthy pregnancy choices because you just don’t care for your unborn child.

Yes. With my last pregnancy it was hard because we lost our son before him at 24 weeks. It was hard to bond at all, that changed once he got here completely.

I haven’t really felt bonded with this pregnancy either. I’ve had so many issues which I think have prevented me. I didn’t feel this way when I was pregnant with my daughter. I’m hoping I feel different as I get closer to delivering. I’m 27w now.
