So, my mother....omg my mother. I live with my mom (it’s me, my mother, my son, my step dad, and my sister((my sister is moving out due to college)) hear me out)

My mom and step dad just got into a big fight last night (it ending in my mother asking for a divorce) and what they were arguing about just blew my mind and pissed me off. She told my step dad that she hated how much attention he was giving my son (my step dad never had kids, he’s been around loooong before my son was born, so he is very close with my kiddo) she said she married a man without kids so she wouldn’t have to fight for his attention. There was of course lots more that was said but that was the main part of the argument. Am I crazy to think this is wrong!?

Update: thank you to the ladies that have responded so far, I thought I was going crazy. She told my step father that the attention that he’s giving to my son could be given to her and they could work on their marriage. My step dad told her they could work on their marriage but he wasn’t going to just drop my son as if he doesn’t care. Then my mother went in saying that they could have a baby if that’s what he wanted, my step dad shit that down REAL quick!

2: I can’t move out. She won’t watch my son during the day, so I had to get a job that was overnight. It’s a part time job so I don’t make hardly anything and definitely not enough to pay rent, car insurance, things for my son, etc.
