I personally wouldn’t do a full-blown shower. But definitely a sprinkle!

Its tacky to throw your own shower for any baby. First or 14th. It is never “inappropriate” to have a family member or friend want to throw you a celebration. I have had belly blessings or mother roasts for my 2&3rd babes. Having one for this one too. My mom and sisters always throw it and the only thing guests bring is food for the freezer for postpartum. Also our families have always asked if we need anything for a baby and I’ve “allowed” them to help with those things. But where I am from I have never been to a baby shower that was thrown by the mother and father to be and would find it awkward to host a party intended to gather gifts for myself 🤷🏽‍♀️

I have a 4 year old (in October), a boy, and I’m pregnant with #2 and it’s a girl. I’m having one🤷🏼‍♀️ there’s no rules to this thing. Lol
