Braxton Hicks?

Today I've  felt what can only be described as like period pain. I'm 35 wks on Friday. I'm not sure if this is Braxton Hicks or has anyone got any other suggestions? Do you think it's ok?!

That's actually the very reasoni came on here tonight. I'll be 35 weeks and get checked on Thursday but I've been feeling menstrual like cramps all day, very low. I'm hoping she is just getting in to position and making me uncomfortable for a short time... I don't want to live with this discomfort for another month!!

My doctor says it is Braxton hicks and totally normal.  Said its your body's way of getting ready for the birth.

Real contractions will literally make your entire belly cramp like worse than a period. I had preterm labor and contractions at 21 weeks and it literally felt like a ring/circle around my belly was cramping not just the usually spot where normal period cramps would occur its your whole belly because remember how much your uterus had to stretch and grow?!

Braxton hicks will stop if you walk around or drink some water.. Be concerned if you have real lower back pain and tightening in the abdominal area all the way across not just one side.. Real contractions will be a steady amount of time apart whereas BH could go from 3- 6 - 3 min apart (those are just random numbers for all ftm):) if you are just unsure and concerned the labor and delivery nurses are great at your local hospital. They will just monitor you for an hour or more to see if you are in actual labor... They will monitor anyone over 25 weeks anyone under will have to go to the ER

This is why I came on here tonight. I'm 35 weeks and feeling period like cramps and back ache. It just started but I'm hoping it's a false alarm!!!!

I had those for 3 hours one day. Didn't know what it was. Definitely wasn't real labor...just baby moving down or BH or something

Braxton hicks don't hurt unless ure in labor already....braxton hicks are jyst uncomfortable, if ure feeling period like cramps, those are probably the real contractions, you should get seen asap
