Baby position?

Question

Is there a way to know what position baby is in? Im 33w and my OB does an ultrasound at 36 to check position but I'm so curious right now!

I feel a skull right between my hip bones and when baby rotates it hurts like hell! I also have a but that tried to exit through my belly button :-)

I can tell because my babies hiccups are always down by my bladder. Plus he always sticks his but out by my ribs and is always kicking my ribs. I did ask my dr to check and she did that by feeling my belly. I'm sure you could do the same!

The ob can feel it and you may be able to too (or make some guesses) but I can tell you I'm 32w5d and my babe still flips up and around from transverse to head down so just because they're head down now doesn't mean they'll stay that way. My doc says usually by 34 weeks they stop changing positions like that and should be turned head down

I can tell my baby is still breech because I feel the head (feels like a solid lump) pushing out above my belly button and I get kicked in the cervix (fun!).

My ob can tell what position he's in by assessing me.. Ask if she can tell

You can ask her to check by feeling your belly. I can just tell my baby is head down because she is kicking me in the ribs! Lol my midwife could tell by feeling my belly.

I can tell by the location of the kicks. Although my baby was laying across my tummy for a long time so when she went head down the kicks were noticeably different.
