It's finally my turn after seeing all the posts about mommas having their beautiful babies! I'll make it short and sweet lol.

On August 3rd I had started contracting around dinner time very mild and assumed i just needed to rest as i was only 36w3d and boy was i wrong lol. By morning, Aug. 4th contractions still haven't subsided but never progressed or became intense but i started swelling amd decided to get seen.

After running around for a few hours and drinking tons of water, Hubs and I finally got to leave to the hospital. Upon arrival they slowly picked up in intensity and off to a room i went since my doctor ordered it. I got registered, undressed, IV in and paperwork signed, i was checked for dilation and went from 2cm (was there for about 2-3 weeks) i was 5cm!! I had been dilating the whole time lol and never realized it!

I went epidural less till about 6 - 7cm and caved due to the constant cervical checks since i was progessing at a decent rate, they had me on pitocin as well since my contractions weren't strong strong so i said yes to my epidural before i dilated to much! I ONLY had an hour of relief before i was back in pain and boy was i IN pain.

I was finally at 9cm but my cervix was being difficult on effacement so the nurses were assisting me and they had me pushing to hell bring baby down to thin the rest of my cervix. At this point i had no epidural so i was basically doing it all natural and mommas who go all natural I COMMEND YOU! I felt EVERYTHING!!! Mind you i wanted to go ALL natural as this was my last baby 😭 (I'm now a momma of 4 babies) since i was getting my tubal ligation done after delivery.

I pushes for one hour trying to get baby down and by then i was 10cm! This entire process was PAINFUL. The pressure and pain was unbearable it had me screaming and crying literally! My doctor came in and we tried still getting babies head out but he was being stubborn lol, so we agreed to use the vacuum and it was on for 3 seconds and an episiotomy was needed and out came babies head, boy that was a different kind of pain! I never felt my episiotomy just baby and for me the ring of fire was barely there, the burning was helpful to keep me pushing, finally out came baby and we finally heard the beautiful news, it was a boy! 9 months of not knowing and finally knowing made it ALL worth it 🥰. I officially had 2 boys and 2 girls.

Then... baby was having difficulty breathing 😔 he was born with respiratory distress syndrome. I held baby for the golden hour and then he was sent to nursery and after nursery went to NICU because he was breathing way to fast. Here we are Aug. 6th and baby boy is still in NICU breathing to fast 😔 I may have to leave here without our baby until he does better 😭 it's literally heartbreaking.

He's on a cpap and they told me they have a machine giving him some breaths in hopes he starts to get better. I pray he gets to come home very soon 😔🖤

Here's a picture of baby boy, John Michael 🖤 named after my father who passed away in February and my uncle Michael who passed away 3 years ago on 4th of July.
