2nd induction story...

Am

I was induced with my first at 37+4 for preeclampsia and it took 63 hours. Fast forward almost two years and I got induced for my second at 37+5 and it only took 33 hours! My handsome guy was born 8/1! 7lbs 14oz (my first was only 6lbs 8oz, so this one get much bigger!)

Also my epidural wore off when I was at 8cm and he was posterior and no matter how many times the midwife tried to flip him, he just kept flipping back!

I felt all of that fun stuff 😳🔥

I’m super thankful for my husband and my midwife. And also very grateful for the L&D nurses that I had during that time.

Here’s my story in a few photos:

The first day was full of resting and monitoring because they gave me cervadil.

A monsoon rolled in (lots of babies come during storms here in Phoenix. They say it’s because of the change in barometric pressure.)

My blood pressure behaved enough to get up and walk and sit on the ball with the wireless monitor. I also was grateful for my ningxia red - it helped ease the nausea that I was feeling as I started transitioning to active labor after three doses of cryotec.

After the third dose, I was a 3 and 90% effaced and officially moved into active labor with no more help from induction agents! 🙌🏻 God is good!

My husband slow danced with me through contractions. This was at about 6cm as I waited for the epidural.

(The epidural only lasted from about 6cm to 8 and then wore off and it got real real after that... 😖)

Then after a little over an hour of pushing and trying to coax this baby out HE WAS BORN!

Soaking in those first moments 🥰

I felt so tired, but so strong.

Women are amazing creatures.

And also I’m 100% in love with this little man...

And my heart is so full with my two littles 💗
