I fully dilated in my second pregnancy with no contractions but I have an incompetent cervix so idk if it happens without contractions normally or not.

I dilated to 2.5 cm with no contractions, I stayed like that for a week then went into active labor

If you’re an FTM, more than likely you’ll remain closed up until contractions start. But I know moms with other babies tend to dilate a bit first before contractions start. I think.
