Midwifes Brew

To each his own. I’ve done my research, tried it successfully with a previous pregnancy and talked to my doctor. I’m 39w 1d and I do not want to be induced. So here it goes! Anyone else? 😊 I can handle mean comments but if please at least be nice to one another.

Update:

A commenter asked if I add castor oil. Yes, I do. It didn’t make me go to the bathroom the last time I did it. Apparently that’s the point of the almond butter in the brew, it’s supposed to counteract the diarrhea side affect by helping it stick to your bowels longer. Some people say it can put the baby in danger because it can make the baby poop in the womb. But because it’s an oil, it doesn’t transfer to the baby. If baby does that, it’s usually because the baby is already in distress. I’d say if there’s a danger, it’s dehydration. If you’re going to do castor oil drink plenty of water!!

Update 2:

It made me pretty nauseous. The oily texture of the almond butter is pretty awful lol. Couldn’t finish the whole thing, I would have thrown it all up. So I’m taking a break from drinking it. I’ll see if I can finish it later. Getting cramps but nothing real. No bathroom breaks either. Will keep updating. Gonna try sexy time too lol. Baby, come on! We wanna meet you.

Update 3:

Sorry I’m updating so much. I’d wanna know for someone else so I figure I’ll update as much as I can lol. Contractions every 8-10min but honestly I can’t decide if they’re just stomach cramps from the castor oil or the real deal. We decided to skip sex cause I’m in a little bit of pain. We also wanna save our energy just in case lol. We’re gonna try to get some sleep (it’s 11:30pm here) just in case it’s the real deal. But I’ll update if I can’t sleep or in the morning when I wake up

Update 4:

It worked!! We have a happy healthy baby! Super fast labor, less than 5 hours! Will update more late.
