Does epidural cause low fetus heart rate?

Most of my friends who were induced and got epidural ended up having a c section since the baby’s heartbeat dropped 😔
Is it true that epidural can cause low heartbeat for the baby?

No epidural will not cause low heart rate

A lot of the time it’s the contractions that will affect fetal heart rate during inductions. 
But yep I had an induction - eventually an epidural and eventually an emergency csection due to low fetal heart rate less than 2 hours after the epi. I don’t really think it was the epi that caused it there were several factors

Yes, the epidural has many possible side effects including a change in heart rate for baby which indicates a lack of blood flow and oxygen and can also cause extremely low blood pressure in mom which in turn can and will affect baby’s heart rate
