Sleepyhead???? Yay or Nay

People use them in snuzpod

We used one for about 3 months.  Initially we just used it for daytime napping and taking to people’s houses but we also let my daughter sleep in it at night for a few weeks.  She had quite severe reflux (to the point where she would projectile vomit and choke on it) and when she slept in the sleepyhead her reflux didn’t cause her so many issues overnight.  I’m assuming it’s because she felt calmer in the sleepyhead.  We did stop her sleeping in it overnight before she could roll over though.  
Even if you just use it for daytime naps it’s a life saver! We used to put it on the sofa in our lounge 😊

My daughter slept in hers til she was 8 months old🤷🏽‍♀️ never had any issues.

I decided against using one, the health visitor said they aren't good because babies can't regulate their temperature, due to the pillow surrounding them can make them too hot & at risk of SIDS. 
The Lullaby Trust doesn't recommend them.

I used ours for naps downstairs but not overnight. Health visitors have to advise against them, but they are only giving advice... if you’re completely sleep deprived you’ll be able to make a decision about the risks involved

My LO would refuse to sleep anyway but on my husband or me through the first 6 weeks of his life so bedtime and naps were really hard for us as one of us had to constantly be holding him. My brother lent us my nephew's sleepyhead and omg, that worked miracles! He would sleep so well in it, I think the pillow around him made him feel warm and secure so he would sleep happily and finally gave me and his dad a break! We used to use it constantly for daytime naps and he has slept in it a few times at bedtime, but i used to put him in the sleepbox that I got free from the children's centre and that was good for him. Now, he's just over 6 months and we still use the sleepyhead for daytime naps but I Co sleep with him at night in the bed which works for us. All in all the sleepyhead was a life saver for us and I would defo recommend it!

I think if you can get by without any crutches and aids like that, then avoid them. I use one when nights are very tough and I'm at risk of nodding off with him on my lap... Baby sleeps incredibly well in it... Which is both a good and bad thing... Light sleep and frequent waking are protectors for SIDs,

I heard quite a lot of bad things about them so decided against getting one since they’re expensive.

We did at the beginning, but the Health Visitor came round and told us off! Too many risks involved 🤷🏼‍♀️
