Short cervix?

It really just depends on how short, and if it’s stable or continuing to shorten. I have a short cervix, but it stayed short and stable and closed until labor. You may end up with a cerclage (knot around cervix to keep it closed) or maybe not. Try not to worry about it and be glad they found it and are addressing it to keep baby safe :)

Depending on the length and dilation, they may put a stitch in your cervix. The fetal maternal specialist will decide if you’re a candidate. They’ll probably also start steroids once you hit 23-24 weeks to try to give baby a head start.
