My baby was born on July 18th my edd was August 28th she stayed into the nicu for 1 week and came home . I pumped Breast milk for her and I woke up to feed every 2-3 hours . She’s now 3 weeks and I can’t keep up with the breast milk so I tried formula for the first time last night and I’m still waking her up every 3 hours to feed her but with the formula it seems like she’s still full during the 3 hours ! So do I still need to wake her up for feedings . ? Or let her wake me up when she’s ready to eat ? Because she’s wasting at least an ounce or 2 because the formula is heavy in her stomach and she isn’t ready to eat yet . Normally with breast milk id wait an our and feed her the rest she didn’t take but formula is only good for an hour .
