It’s just after 4 AM and I can’t sleep. Life as we knew it has changed in an instant for my family. My father in law was diagnosed with cancer and he was admitted to the hospital right away. He won’t tell us much and the severity of it but it doesn’t seem like it’s not serious since they told him to go to the hospital right away. It’s bladder cancer. He had a whole body scan about a month ago and things didn’t look good. Heart condition got worse by 30%, and new spots were seen in his lungs. Is it correlated? No idea...He had some procedure done yesterday on his bladder (camera went in to see what’s going on) and the doctor told him he has multiple tumors and need to be removed as soon as possible. I’ve read that bladder cancer often spreads to lymph nodes and the lungs so I’m thinking the worst here...my heart is literally broken....his entire family, all his siblings (8) have been diagnosed with cancer and 5 passed away. His one sister has kidney cancer and is hanging on by a thread. His brother too but went into remission. My heart hurts for my kids because they love him dearly, are super close to him and see him everyday...
