When should I start?

I'm 16 weeks and moving houses is it too early to put up a crib? When should I start?

Set up a crib and decorate the room once you find out the gender, seems a little to early for me.. But do whatever you want ☺

We are moving 1 month before I will go in for a c-section...so I won't be setting up anything till we are moved in but let me tell ya it will be set up and beautiful before baby comes! I'm buying nursery items little by little planning it all out! My mom who will be moving in with us thinks I'm nuts to be buying anything already.

My nursery is done and I am 16 weeks   tomorrow. Whenever you want to set up your babies things is up to you.

With my first I set up the nursery super early. Everything was dusty and needed any through cleanings since it sat for so many months. That was just more work. Plus baby slept in a bassinet in our room for the first few months since nights are long and sleepless. This time we are working on painting and nursery artwork, and putting away/organizing baby clothes and blankets in a way they'll stay clean and ready for when LO arrives. But the crib, curtains, and anything not easily wipeable, will not get assembled, etc until 4 weeks before due date.

Start whenever you want to. Some people feel better when they get things done some don't care. It's really a matter of preference. I had my nursery mostly set up for my first one by the time she was born. Hubby only actually set up the crib when she was a few weeks old. Because she basically slept in the bassinet in our room so she didn't need the crib anyway.

I'm 17 weeks & already have my nursey completely set up just waiting for my wall decals to come in & stuff from my baby shower in a few months. Nothing wrong with starting early & being prepared. Why not start early so your not rushing to finish in your last few weeks. 😊
