Sitting up?

When do babies usually start to sit up on their own

Answer

Mine did at 3 months, they all progress at there own pace. 
Mine rolled on his belly 2nd day after birth and was holding his head up in the little bassinet
He was sitting holding his head right up by himself at 3 months
Crawling around 4 1/2 months 
An took his 1st steps around 6months
An by the last week of 7 months he was walking without help or stumbling.
An by 10 months he was running, asking up up & with permission would crawling up the stairs
At 10 months he also figured out picking up, and will pick up his toys, and put them in the right baskets. He has a stuffed animal basket, a LEGO tote, a book & puzzle box and a everything else tub and he’ll separate them. 
He’s 1yr and 1 month now but at a year he was able to figure out how to bump his booty down the stairs and he even crawls down backwards he’ll wait til one of us is behind him and pat the step and when we say down down he crawls backwards down the steps. An will repeat the patting the steps and waiting on permission until hes made it all the way to the bottom, then he celebrates always by clapping his hands and asking for hi’s’ as in high fives. 
He’s quite brilliant, it just takes patience and working with them.
I’m with my little always, so he’s just use to me being his teacher and learns quicker when I show him that and as said being with him as much as I am he watches me constantly, so the picking the toys up and his use of silverware already is something I’ve never actually had to sit down and teach him he’s picked it up all on his own.

Different for every baby. My baby could start sitting completely unassisted at 4.5 months. My nephew 6 months, my neice 7.5 months. All happy healthy normal babies.
