Gripe water safe?

I have a 2 week old preemie born at 35 weeks and 3day. I’m wondering if any moms out here given there preemie baby gripe water

I gave my daughter probiotic drops and gas drops that are simethicon she was born at 34+4 and she is doing really good.

My pediatrician said it's fine but she actually recommend a probiotic drop because there guts are immature and it seems to be helping and I haven't needed gas drops yet I'd ask your pediatrician about it

I gave my son gripe water when needed, I usually just did less than the recommended amount

It’s probably not harmful, but it’s unregulated and studies have shown it to be no more effective than sugar water in soothing babies. Also, there was a recall back in February 2019 due to undissolved ingredients.
