Birth Story💜💜 with 24 hour UPDATE
I was scheduled to be induced today, August 7th 2019, at 6:30am. I had already been having contractions all night so when I got to Labor and Delivery I was in active labor. They said I was 4cm dilated and 70% effaced already and at a station 0 to -1. They started my Pitocin drip at around 7:30am. At 8:30am the doctor came in and I was dilated around 5cm so he broke my water. Things started picking up from there and I was having severe back labor to the point the nurse could feel her feet pushing on my back with every contraction. They decided to skip the IV medication due to the anesthesiologist having to go for a c-section so if I didn’t get an epidural right then I’d have to wait over 2 hours before he came back. At 11am I got an epidural and was dilated 7cm. My doctor came back in around 1pm and I was 8cm and moving quickly. By 2pm I was 10cm and ready to push. They had me do 2 practice pushes and made me stop because her head was coming down before the doctor was there. At 2:37pm after 5 pushes our beautiful daughter was born 💜
I had no tearing at all and the doctor said my body did an amazing job during delivery. She weighed 7lbs 15oz and is 19in long. I couldnt be more thankful for this little baby girl especially after suffering a loss of twin boys at 15 weeks gestation. My rainbow baby is finally here and healthy. Thank you all for the wonderful support you have brought me and I’m wishing you all safe and healthy deliveries. Congratulations to all of us 💜💜💜
*Update*
A lot of the swelling went down in her face so she looks so much different today. Annalise is doing well after needing to be kept in a panda warmer due to low temperature. But her blood sugar levels all came back good so they think she may just run a little colder than average. Her name is very fitting as proven by the nonstop storms that have been coming through since her birth. I’m definitely one proud mom 💜
