When you have a wedding do you have to pay for it all at once or can you make payments

I’m just curious. I’m watching a show where a woman wants to spend 56k and her fiancé said they can’t afford that so I was wondering if you make payments towards your dress, the ring, decorations, the wedding planner.. or do you pay up front?

Depends on venue and vendors. Some require full payment others might be in full day of wedding. Ours was a mix.

For my venue we left a deposit, then few months later paid another lump, then few months later another lump and then one month before final balance.
It wasnt a payment plan or any kind of loan or anything like that it's just how the place worked.

Always can use credit cards and then make payments. We did this for venue and were able to pay off almost all after wedding money gifts.

My first wedding was 50,000. We paid deposit and had to pay the balance a week before the wedding. We paid 25,000 and my parents paid the rest. 
My second wedding was about 7000. Were still married and paid everything ourselves. You can pay with a credit card and make payments on the card rather than the venue.

We paid upfront for everything. I wouldn't like to make payments if one can help it.

I booked everything 18 months in advance and paid off as much as I could beforehand.
Some things allowed me to do this, others I had to budget more towards the end.
