So In my freshman year of college i met this girl and we instantly became very close. We considered each other best friends. We would hang out daily. Our junior and senior year we became roommates and hung out daily and did a lot of things together.

When we were home on breaks, we would text daily and kept each other updated.

After graduation i went the job path and started working a career while she went to grad school.

We were talking and scheduled to hang out.

Recently, i made a decision to move to a new state (2 states away) and start fresh.

Before i left, she was supportive and when i told her I’m having a going away dinner she said she would come but she didn’t come because she made an excuse about how her parents wouldn’t let her or how her car couldn’t. However, she would go home in a heartbeat if it was other certain friends (ones she grew up with)

I was upset and i forgave her for that. But since i been here (about 1.5 months now) i been the one reaching out by sending memories or sending snaps. I would ask her what’s new or be like “you should come” and she would reply then leave me on read.

It’s clear that our friendship isn’t as strong as i thought it was.

She hasn’t reached out to me, or asked how the move was or anything like that...

Some ppl said i should forget the friendship and i wanna see ppl opinions about it.

I don’t wanna force a friendship but i do miss it.
