When were you cleared?

When were you cleared to have sex postpartum? I’ve seen some say earlier than 6 weeks and some say way later than 6 weeks. Just curious!

With my older 2 kids, 6 weeks. 
With my youngest, 4 weeks.

I was cleared at 6 weeks didn’t officially try until 10 weeks.

I was cleared at my six week appointment.  But my son is 4 months old soon and my husband and I still haven't had sex. We exhausted, work, kids and  baby. Regardless of when you get cleared don't rush yourself, it's your body and mind. You will know when it's time. Good luck.

I'm not sure how anyone would get seen by their Dr to get cleared before 6w.... 🤔

I wasn't cleared until about 10 weeks PP because I wasn't seen until 8 weeks PP and my tear wasn't completely healed so my OB had to give me estrogen cream and then I had to go back at 10 weeks to get checked again.

My discharge paperwork and Dr. both said 4-6 weeks.

Typically 6 weeks but it all depends on your body and the healing process. Your doctor will let you know when, don't risk having sex before doctor says it is okay to.
