At school my Latina and Muslim friend was telling me that I could say I’m white or mixed but I can’t say I’m black because I have light skin. My sisters mixed with white and black like me but she has dark skin so he just says she black. I was talking to my Native American friend and she told me that since I’m mixed I could say I’m white or mixed or black I don’t have to make one decision and when she said that a few white boys laughed at it and a light skin Latino started laughing and disagreeing with her and saying that I’m one race not both, even a white girl was there and she disagreed with the boys.
